Objectives of fire protection:
- Prevent the occurrence of fires and limit the spread of fire and smoke,
- Identify and fight fires as soon as they occur, wherever possible, and
- avert dangers to people, the environment and material assets
Our services in relation to fire protection:
- Preparing fire protection concepts for special buildings on the basis of Länder building ordinances
- Providing consultancy and expert opinions when planning structural, technical, operational, organizational and preventive fire protection
- Assessing/appraising implementations of preventive fire protection
- Coordinating with the competent authority/fire protection agency
- Assisting companies with the fire safety inspection based on the fire protection laws of the respective Länder
- Preparing fire service plans in accordance with DIN 14095, fire protection ordinances in accordance with DIN 14096, escape and rescue route plans in accordance with DIN ISO 23601 and ASR A1.3, respectively, emergency plans and
- identifying fire loads and the fire rating of components on the basis of DIN 18230-1
- Verifying low-smoke layers, in accordance with DIN 18232-2, for natural smoke extraction systems or, in accordance with DIN 18232-5, for powered smoke extraction systems
- Assessing fire water retention installations when storing substances hazardous to water in accordance with the Fire Water Retention Installations Directive (LöRüRL)
- Providing an external fire protection officer and fire protection inspections in the company
- Providing fire protection training to company staff
- Carrying out risk assessments to identify operational fire protection requirements
